{"id":1600,"date":"2026-09-09T09:06:13","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T09:06:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mayjocarhire.com\/mayjo-blog\/?p=1600"},"modified":"2026-09-09T09:09:43","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T09:09:43","slug":"fleet-operations-assistant-driver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mayjocarhire.com\/mayjo-blog\/fleet-operations-assistant-driver\/","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;re Hiring \u2013 Fleet Operations Assistant &amp; Driver"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Join the Mayjo Team!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mayjo Car Rentals &amp; Airport Transfers has proudly served Gozo since <strong>1964<\/strong> and is one of the island&#8217;s leading providers of <strong>car hire, airport transfers and private Gozo tours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;re looking for a <strong>Fleet Operations Assistant<\/strong> <strong>&amp; Driver<\/strong> to join our growing team in a varied, hands-on role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2705 Prepare and clean vehicles to the highest standard, inside and out.<br>\u2705 Inspect vehicles before and after rentals and report any faults or damage.<br>\u2705 Deliver and collect rental vehicles throughout Gozo.<br>\u2705 Carry out basic preventative vehicle maintenance, including checking tyre pressures, fluid levels, lights and batteries.<br>\u2705 Assist with vehicle maintenance where appropriate.<br>\u2705 Keep accurate records of vehicle servicing and inspections.<br>\u2705 Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.<br>\u2705 Ensure the fleet is always presented in excellent condition and ready for customers.<br>\u2705 Occasionally provide airport transfers and private Gozo tours as required.<br>\u2705 Assist with other fleet-related duties as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We&#8217;re Looking for Someone Who<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2714 Resides in Gozo.<br>\u2714 Holds a valid Maltese\/EU driving licence.<br>\u2714 Holds a Maltese ID card or a valid work permit.<br>\u2714 Has good mechanical knowledge and is comfortable carrying out minor vehicle maintenance and repairs. <br>\u2714 Is organised, reliable and hands-on.<br>\u2714 Takes pride in delivering high standards of work.<br>\u2714 Has own transport.<br>\u2714 Has a professional attitude and treats colleagues and customers with respect at all times.<br>\u2714 Holds a valid Transport Malta Taxi Driver Permit and Tag (or is willing to obtain one \u2013 assistance can be provided).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Salary &amp; Benefits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We offer an attractive employment package reflecting the varied responsibilities of the role:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2714 <strong>Attractive salary based on experience, skills and level of responsibility.<\/strong><br>\u2714 <strong>Year-round, full-time employment<\/strong> with a well-established local company.<br>\u2714 Opportunities for <strong>salary progression<\/strong> as experience and responsibilities increase.<br>\u2714 <strong>Additional hours available<\/strong>, particularly during busier periods.<br>\u2714 Varied and interesting work combining <strong>fleet operations, vehicle maintenance and professional driving<\/strong>.<br>\u2714 Opportunity to develop your skills and take on <strong>greater responsibility within the company<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Location:<\/strong> Victoria, Gozo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Apply by sending your CV to:<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"mailto:paulazzopardi@mayjocarhire.com\">paulazzopardi@mayjocarhire.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re looking for a varied role where no two days are the same and enjoy working with vehicles and people, we&#8217;d love to hear from you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Join the Mayjo Team!
