Mayjo Car Rentals & Airport Transfers has proudly served Gozo since 1964 and is one of the island’s leading providers of car hire, airport transfers and private Gozo tours.
We’re looking for a Fleet Operations Assistant & Driver to join our growing team in a varied, hands-on role.
Main Responsibilities
✅ Prepare and clean vehicles to the highest standard, inside and out.
✅ Inspect vehicles before and after rentals and report any faults or damage.
✅ Deliver and collect rental vehicles throughout Gozo.
✅ Carry out basic preventative vehicle maintenance, including checking tyre pressures, fluid levels, lights and batteries.
✅ Assist with vehicle maintenance where appropriate.
✅ Keep accurate records of vehicle servicing and inspections.
✅ Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
✅ Ensure the fleet is always presented in excellent condition and ready for customers.
✅ Occasionally provide airport transfers and private Gozo tours as required.
✅ Assist with other fleet-related duties as required.
We’re Looking for Someone Who
✔ Resides in Gozo.
✔ Holds a valid Maltese/EU driving licence.
✔ Holds a Maltese ID card or a valid work permit.
✔ Has good mechanical knowledge and is comfortable carrying out minor vehicle maintenance and repairs.
✔ Is organised, reliable and hands-on.
✔ Takes pride in delivering high standards of work.
✔ Has own transport.
✔ Has a professional attitude and treats colleagues and customers with respect at all times.
✔ Holds a valid Transport Malta Taxi Driver Permit and Tag (or is willing to obtain one – assistance can be provided).
